Legislative Action Alert! Help our network boost support for the Millionaires Tax Some words from Fuse WA: The Legislature just did something historic: they’ve introduced the Millionaires Tax, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to rebalance our upside-down tax code! Senate Bill 6346 has its first public hearing this Friday. The Millionaires Tax would fund education, health care, and expand the working families tax credit, all by making the wealthy few pay more of what they truly owe in taxes. That means more money in the pockets of working people, lower costs for families, and a progressive tax that truly funds our future in [...]

Legislative Priorities for 2026

2026-01-13T21:50:45-08:00

Our 2026 Legislative AgendaEach year, we shape our legislative priorities alongside our coalition partners, statewide network, FAN Policy Committee, and FAN Governing Board. This year, we also introduced a survey to help inform our priorities. We hope to make this a routine part of our interim process. In fall 2025, nearly three-quarters of advocates who responded to the survey said that our social safety net, housing and homelessness, and immigrant and refugee rights are the issues most important to them and their communities. In addition, over half of the respondents said that healthcare and environmental justice were issues that were most [...]

A Time of Mourning and Action

2026-01-13T20:36:29-08:00

As we mourn the murder of Renee Nicole Good by ICE this week, we remember that 2025 was the deadliest year for community members in ICE custody since 2004 and that at least 9 immigrants have been killed during ICE/CBP apprehensions this year alone. Across our diverse faiths, we are taught that every person is worthy, that community matters, and that we are called to stand with one another. We [...]
