There is much at stake in the election on all levels of community – Congressional, state, and local. And faith voices, reaching out in their communities, are important players. The FAN team is curating resources to help you engage your communities in the electoral process. While faith communities are 501(c)(3) organizations and cannot endorse candidates, we can lift up opportunities for civic engagement, educate people on how to register, host candidate forums where all candidates are invited, and help get out the vote. Our faith traditions provide inspiration and guidance for being involved in the electoral process.
As part of this effort, we launched a 100% Voting Faith Community Campaign. We are encouraging faith communities to commit collectively to becoming a 100% voting community. By “100% voting,” we encourage faith communities to have 100% voter turnout of those who are eligible. While 100% voter turnout is the shared goal in this campaign, there is no strict qualification requirement to become a 100% voting community; what matters the most is a commitment and a passion for upholding the common good through voting and civic engagement. Sign up to become a 100% Voting Faith Community (VFC) through this online form or click the orange button below.
To support you in this effort we’ve created resources like our 100% VFC toolkit which contains resources for participating in our democracy and one pagers with helpful faith resources and state voting information.
