As ballots drop this week, FAN and our multifaith partners encourage you to be a first week voter, use ballot drop boxes, and track your ballot! Making sure your vote counts is a vital way to protect our communities and our democracy.

FAN is defending the Millionaire’s Tax with the NO on 645 Coalition and part of the No Hate in Washington State campaign opposing I-001 and I-638. We encourage you to vote NO on all of the initiatives! Learn more and check out FAN’s one-pagers on all 3 initiatives here.

As people of faith and conscience, we know that power belongs to the people, NOT billionaires, strongmen, or politicians who believe they are above accountability. This Saturday, October 17th, FAN Advocates across the state will be showing up for their local No Kings: Vote Early day of action: Find an event near you here.

If you are in the Seattle area, “People of Faith Stand With Immigrants” invites you to march together from Westlake Park to Seattle Center. Bring any congregational or denominational signage to represent your tradition, and gather around the huge “People of Faith Stand With Immigrants” banner provided by the Seattle Jesuit Parishes immigrant advocacy group. To join this group, look for the banner at Westlake Park – the march begins at 2pm.

Those attending in the Yakima area are invited to contribute to a food drive for Yakima Immigrant Response Network (YIRN) to support families impacted by ICE. Donations needed: white rice, pinto and black beans, canned fruits/vegetables/meat, Mexican seasonings and condiments, diapers, and baby food.
