With Gratitude: Celebrating Brianna Dilts, our Eastern WA Organizer
Dear friends of FAN,
With deep gratitude and real joy for what lies ahead, Faith Action Network shares that Brianna Dilts, our Eastern Washington Organizer, will be moving on to a new role as Associate Organizer with the Spokane Alliance, one of our partners in the region. Brianna’s last day with FAN will be November 9, following our November 8 Spokane Annual Dinner, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate her than surrounded by the community she has helped build.
For over three years, Brianna has been FAN’s heart and hands in Eastern Washington. She showed up in congregations and meeting halls across the region and has been a thoughtful and committed partner in multi-faith organizing. Because of that, the relationships she nurtured run deep.
Under her leadership, our Eastern Washington community has built and deepened connections that will keep growing for years to come. She has also established a statewide FAN housing working group, helped shape FAN’s legislative priorities, and (to our staff’s deep gratitude) helped strengthen internal infrastructure in important ways.
FAN’s commitment to Eastern Washington is as strong as ever. The foundation Brianna has helped lay—trusted relationships, engaged congregations, and leaders ready to act—gives us a lot to build on. This winter, FAN will share an updated job posting for our next Eastern Washington Organizer, and we hope you will help us spread the word and find the right person to carry this work forward. In the meantime, our long-time FAN Board Member and Spokane resident, Jim CastroLang, will serve as a continuing presence in Spokane until we hire a new organizer. If you have any questions, please reach out to fan@fanwa.org.
We hope to see you at the Spokane Annual Dinner on November 8 to mark 15 years of FAN in Spokane. If you are unable to make it, please save the date for the evening of December 7 for a heartfelt send-off for Brianna. Come ready to share a story, a thank-you, or a hug. We will share more details soon.
Brianna, thank you for every congregation you visited, every meeting you led, and every neighbor you helped find their voice. We are a better organization because of you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.
With gratitude and hope,
The Faith Action Network Staff and Board

A few words from Brianna
It has been a wonderful three and a half years getting to know you all and organizing alongside you. I have so much appreciation for the determination and commitment to justice, compassion, and sustainability that I have witnessed within the region. Together we have built ecumenical and multifaith relationships that will continue to grow and blossom. We have spoken up for the rights and dignity of immigrants and refugees. And we have publicly stood up against federal attempts at election interference and encouraged early voting.
These actions are not the work of one organizer, but the work and commitment of an entire community, and I am excited for whatever comes next for the region. While my day-to-day role is changing, my belief in our community’s collective power remains unwavering. Organized people have the power to do incredible things, and as people of faith and conscience, the wells from which we draw on to do this work are deep and can withstand even the most trying times.
As I appreciate the relationships and time spent with FAN, I also look forward to the future. Our Spokane area is wonderfully connected, and I know that for many of us, our paths will cross again. So rather than say goodbye, I will see you later.
Thank you to every single person who welcomed me into their faith community, showed up to a meeting, contributed to our mission, and put your time into building a strong multifaith presence for justice in Eastern Washington.
In gratitude and solidarity,
Brianna Dilts
