Thank You for making our Annual Dinner Celebrations a Success!

We approach this time of Thanksgiving with deep gratitude for our incredible statewide network! Nearly 450 friends of FAN showed up last Sunday in Renton, Spokane, and online, to celebrate our Annual Dinner #FANunitedinhope!

Guests prayed, sang, ate delicious food, heard inspiring speakers, wrote notes of support for others, and raised money to keep FAN strong in the days ahead!

We are happy to announce that we met our financial goal for the event and have raised nearly $170,000 so far! Individuals gave $53,000 in donations, which were matched by Rick Steves’ generous $50,000 gift. Our generous sponsors set the stage for a successful event, as well as ticket sales. We are grateful for your generosity to create hope and change!

Collectively, we also met our goal of building community and recognizing our need to hold on to these important multi-faith relationships for the policy work ahead.

We go forward into the legislative session with these reminders from keynote speaker, 41st District State Representative My-Linh Thai:

Hope is progressive.
Hope is joyous.
Hope is collective power.
Hope requires ACTION.

Generous supporter Rick Steves reminded us that FAN gives our love traction through advocacy. The program was woven together with expert and joyful emceeing by FAN board member, Rev. Dr. Edward Donalson. We heard from other board, staff, and guest speakers in Renton and Spokane. And most importantly, we left with a sense of community and a song on our lips — Ain’t No Mountain High Enough to keep us away from each other and the advocacy we do!
