Join the Church Council of Greater Seattle to Advocate for No Hate in WA State and the Seattle Budget

People of Faith for No Hate in WA State at Wayside UCC this Saturday, October 3, at 6:30 PM

The Church Council of Greater Seattle also invites you to join them at the Seattle City Council public budget hearing next Tuesday, October 6, to advocate for a budget that reflects the values of abundance and community care! The Mayor’s proposed 2027-2028 budget shows cuts across departments and we want to advocate for abundance over scarcity. This means advocating for more progressive revenue sources, protecting funding for basic needs and human rights, and investing in real forms of public safety.

The hearing will begin at 5:00PM and those that would like to give public comment should plan to arrive around 4:00PM to sign up. We will also provide signs that read “Budgets Are A Moral Document” and “Abundance Over Scarcity.”
