Interfaith leaders with Governor cropped
Interfaith leaders meet with Governor Inslee in February of 2016

Faith Action Network (FAN) envisions a powerful voice of the faithful building a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world. That work begins with the understanding that the religious landscape in Washington is shifting rapidly. Our communities and neighborhoods are reflecting a growing diversity of cultures and faiths. FAN’s mission to embrace this interfaith diversity not only differentiates us, it provides strong new possibilities. We are a single human family united in FAN’s work for justice.

FAN is pleased to announce that many prominent leaders of diverse faiths in Washington have accepted our invitation to participate on our Interfaith Leadership Council.

This group of leaders, representing the diverse spectrum of faiths that exists within Washington State is made up of the executive leaders, judicatory heads, and/or religious leaders of our region’s diverse faiths and will provide advice to FAN on current and emerging issues in all our communities.

Members of this Council could potentially be available on occasion for public roles—spokespersons on important issues in support of FAN’s work—at press conferences, public events, or legislative hearings. Each member will understand the important and necessary work of advocacy for economic and racial justice as a crucial response to human need. They will recommend issues, approaches, or actions and will be sustaining connections to people or resources within their communities. The Council will raise awareness in their respective religious communities about the work of FAN—and potentially help engage them more fully in FAN’s mission and work.
