Interfaith Advocacy Day 2025
Celebrating Multifaith Advocacy in Olympia!
FAN’s 2025 Interfaith Advocacy Day
On February 20, 2025, hundreds of FAN advocates joined us at United Churches of Olympia to be voices of compassion and justice. Kristin Ang, FAN’s Policy Engagement Director, gave advocates an overview of the legislative session, including the state’s budget deficit, and urged the importance of advocating for a moral budget that protects social safety net programs. We also heard from Representative Osman Salahuddin of the 48th Legislative District and Senator Rebecca Saldaña from the 37th Legislative District about the challenges this legislative session and the importance of advocating from our faith and spiritual traditions.
Combined, we had 43/49 of Washington’s legislative districts represented and had 95 appointments with legislators and their staff. Thank you for showing up and demonstrating the power of multi-faith advocacy in action.
