Good Trouble

Thank you to everyone who called and wrote their legislators, protested in the streets, and stood up to fight the cruel and immoral federal budget that was just signed into law earlier this month. At FAN, we are taking time to lament, rest, organize, and envision how our multifaith relationships can strengthen and ground us in the ongoing work of resistance to the devastating impacts of this federal budget. Below you’ll find places to connect with us throughout Washington state in the coming days, and reach out to FAN (fan@fanwa.org) if you have an event to share.

Good Trouble Lives On: Wenatchee

Join FAN this Thursday, July 17 from 5:30-7 PM at Memorial Park in Wenatchee as we make our values visible and insist that due process is non-negotiable, immigrants and refugees are integral members of our communities, and programs like Medicaid and SNAP save lives and benefit all of us. “Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people. Coined by civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, “Good Trouble” is the action of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice and create meaningful change.” Find more information and other locations throughout the country. Email Jess (ingman@fanwa.org) if you’d like to connect with other FAN folks at the protest!
