FAN’s Policy Engagement Director\, Kristin Ang\, will share a virtual recap of the legislative session with a Q&A.\nConnect around the shared values that ground our advocacy and deepen our local relationships. Reflect on our personal and faith community engagement in advocacy this past year. What was life-affirming/fulfilling? What FAN resources helped? What alternate or other forms of engagement would be helpful in the future?\nPlan for how we can act and build power together for justice\, compassion\, and sustainability in the months ahead as we prepare for the next legislative session and the many challenges facing our communities.\nWe recognize that communities outside of the Puget Sound area have fewer options or need to travel a longer distance to join a Summit in person. If there is not a Summit location within close enough driving distance\, please contact us if you would like an organizer to assist you in planning a FAN gathering in your community in the months ahead. Kristin’s livestream will be available by recording after the event.\n\nWe offer this event freely and we appreciate your generosity in supporting our work. SUMMARY:Legislative District Leads Training
DESCRIPTION:Legislative District Leads Training\nAre you interested in helping support the grassroots organizing and people power behind Interfaith Advocacy Day (IFAD)? Being a Legislative District (LD) Lead might be for you! \nEvery year at IFAD\, we are able to connect constituents directly with their lawmaker’s office to share their concerns and advocate directly with their legislators and their staff. These appointments are made possible by the hard work of staff and volunteer LD Leads leading up to IFAD. Legislative District Leads are volunteers who schedule appointments for themselves and other advocates in your state legislative district for the day of IFAD\, February 12. LD Leads can also help lead caucus time with your legislative district on the day of IFAD. \nThis session will share more information and answer your questions about being LD Lead\, walk you through how to request an appointment with your legislators’ offices\, and what to do if you are having a hard time getting a hold of your office. If you are on the fence on whether to volunteer\, please join us and learn more. We are happy to provide extra support. \nOnce you register\, a Zoom link will be sent to you.\nFor additional information and registration\, click here \nWhen\nJanuary 7\, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM\nLocation\nOnline – A Zoom Link Will Be Emailed To You Before The Event.\nContact\nPhone:  (206) 498-4654\nEmail: fan@fanwa.org

SUMMARY:Housing and Homelessness Working Group
DESCRIPTION:Housing and Homelessness Working Group Kick Off\nOur first meeting for our new Housing and Homelessness Working Group\nJoin Faith Action Network advocates across the state to learn more about and participate in FAN’s housing advocacy for 2026. \nJoin us in the new year for our first Housing & Homelessness Working Group meeting. Together\, we will discuss housing bills in the state legislature –including HB 1859\, which supports the development of affordable housing on land owned by faith communities — how they impact our communities\, and how we can support them! Recognizing that the affordable housing and homelessness crisis is affecting nearly all of us in Washington and that our faith communities are often on the front lines providing housing\, shelter\, meals\, and essentials to folks experiencing homelessness and low-income folks\, we felt the need to dedicate some specific organizing and advocacy to housing and homelessness. Our working group will focus on housing and homelessness legislation and advocacy at the state legislature. This is the first meeting of what will continue monthly on the second Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30 via Zoom. \nPlease join us! \nOnce you register\, a Zoom link will be sent to you.\nFor additional information and registration\, click here \nWhen\nJanuary 13\, 2026 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM\nLocation\nOnline – A Zoom Link Will Be Emailed To You Before The Event.\nContact\nPhone: (206) 625-9790\nEmail: fan@fanwa.org \n
