Please mark your calendars for our Annual Dinner on Sunday, November 19, and stay tuned for more details. We hope to offer an in-person gathering in two locations with online attendance as well.
FAN Cluster Meetings Being Planned
FAN staff are working with faith communities in our network to find dates this Fall for geographical cluster gatherings across our state. These meetings provide a way to get to know your neighbors and talk about local concerns and responses to needs in your community, and perhaps create new collaborations. Meanwhile, here are the meetings planned and registration links, beginning next week:
NORTH SEATTLE: Sunday August 27, 2:00-3:30 pm
Changed to ONLINE Meeting: We need to pivot to an online meeting for the North Seattle Cluster for COVID safety. If you had registered, we have sent you the link. If you hadn’t registered yet, please email us at fan@fanwa.org and we will send you the link.
EAST KING COUNTY: Wednesday October 25, 6:30-8:00 pm
Hosted by Newport Presbyterian Church, Bellevue
BELLINGHAM AREA: Sunday November 5, 4:00-5:30 pm
Hosted by First Congregational & Christ the Servant Lutheran. Registration to come.
If you would like to host a meeting in your area, please contact us at fan@fanwa.org.
New Staff Joining FAN
We are happy to introduce our new Eastern Washington Regional Organizer Brianna Dilts! You can learn more about her on our staff page and the organizing and social work experience she brings to FAN. Brianna has been working limited hours for us this summer as she finished her year of service as Participant Voice and Empowerment VISTA/Americorps member at Transitions in Spokane. Now she is fully available for her half-time organizing work with FAN and eager to get to know our network. She most recently represented FAN at Unity in the Community in Spokane last weekend. Please join us in welcoming Brianna! And stay tuned for more introductions to new FAN staff in the weeks ahead…
Challenge 2.0 Video Featuring FAN Legislative Work
Earlier this summer, our friends at Paths to Understanding and Challenge 2.0 released this video conversation with host Jeff Renner about the 2023 legislative session. It’s helpful to review at this time as we prepare to work with our coalition partners, policy committee, and Governing Board to develop a legislative agenda for 2024. We invite you to listen and always welcome your feedback!
