Support DACA and Dreamers

We’re deeply disturbed by today’s announcement that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) is being ‘rescinded’, impacting the lives of 800,000 Dreamers. To read the official memo from the Department of Homeland Security, click here. To learn more about DACA, click here.

Yesterday, our own Attorney General Bob Ferguson joined the New York Attorney General in promising to file a suit to stop the rescission and defend DACA recipients. In the meantime, we’ve compiled some resources and information from our coalition partners about ways that you can respond to this announcement, and some follow-up information for those who will be impacted or those who work closely with people and families impacted.

You can respond to this announcement by:

  • Contacting your members of Congress to express concern and to demand legislative action to restore DACA and create a pathway to citizenship for its recipients. Reps. DelBene, Larsen, Newhouse, Kilmer, Jayapal, Reichert, and Smith have already spoken out against this decision, and some have co-sponsored legislation to restore DACA or to create a path to citizenship. Click here to find your Congressional District, and use the links below to contact your member of Congress.
