Health Care Repeal Bill in the U.S. Senate

As you are probably aware, the bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act in the U.S. Senate is supposed to be voted on by June 30. So far, at least five Republican Senators oppose it, meaning there are not enough votes to pass it through the chamber – yet.

There are many problems with this version of a health care bill, but the large cuts in the Medicaid program are unconscionable. Both Senators Murray and Cantwell are strongly opposed to it, and Senator Murray is the lead Democrat on the Senate Health Care Committee. FAN has signed on to a letter thanking them for their support. If you’d also like to send them a word of thanks for their positions, you can contact Sen. Murray and Sen. Cantwell on their websites.
