Islam and Judaism: Extending Hands of Friendship
March 19 @ 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Date and Time: Sunday March 19 2-5pm
Location: Temple Beth Am 2632 NE 80th Street Seattle 98115
No charge; light refreshments will be served
We will be screening the film ‘Arranged’, the story of friendship between an Orthodox Jewish woman and a traditional Muslim woman who are both first year teachers at the same school and both experiencing similar marriage pressures from their families. The film will serve as a basis for discussion about similarities, differences, stereotypes regarding the Jewish and Muslim traditions. Sponsored by the TBA Interfaith and Intercultural Initiative and the Sisters of Beth Am, this film and discussion is part of our commitment to strengthening relationships with our Muslim friends and neighbors through education, collaboration, outreach and understanding.
