FAN Human Trafficking Workgroup Meeting
February 28 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
We warmly invite you to join us for an event on February 28 at 7 PM, planned by a newly forming workgroup at Faith Action Network focused on Human Trafficking in Washington.
We will be hosted by Rev. Mark Galang and Beacon United Methodist Church, 7301 Beacon Ave S., in south Seattle.
FAN has led the way in proposing and successfully advocating for passage of policy bills on labor trafficking in our state legislature in recent years.
The Human Trafficking Working Group has convened to amplify these efforts through education and action against human trafficking, especially labor trafficking. Our goals are to:
- Develop strategies to advance public policy solutions to end human trafficking, including supporting fair trade policies and equipping the criminal justice system to adequately respond;
- Work in coalition to provide ecumenical, multifaith and secular opportunities for people to learn about and take action on human trafficking;
- Highlight the disproportionate impact of human trafficking on people of color and foreign born residents and advocate for appropriate solutions.
Please let us know if you’ll be coming: email@example.com.
Thank you for your interest!
